I've installed the newest stable of RRD MA (3.1) on debian etch and I stumble upon few problems:
- poller.php in cacti wasn't polling anything nor it gave me any errors in the log file.

solution: removed php4-* and install php5. most likely that reinstalling php4 would work as well ;)
another suggestion would be not to install cacti from etch repository but to do it manually.

- when using psUI i was getting following error in $perfsonar/WEB-INF/logs/perfsonar file:
Error code error.rrdma.rrdjtool
Error description RRDStorageManager.rrdFetch: Cannot connect with rrdjtool native library: no jrrd in java.library.path

soution (provided by roman): add following in /etc/default/tomcat5.5
CATALINA_OPTS="-Djava.library.path=/usr/lib"

don't forget to restart the tomcat after that ;) (/etc/init.d/tomcat5.5 restart)

i'll take a shot at cisco's 640-533 which is f'n prerequisite for taking any of CCSP exams. god, give me a reason why not to quit! :)

approximately month to go. i don't wanna spend any money on (e)books (cheap bastard) so i try, downloading ccna 640-553 iins official exam cert guide - 2008. it took me twice as long to find a password for rar-ed file, which is 'thebb' btw. i guess the lame and old line for this would be:fuck...i'm getting to old for this shit.
